Our global goal pledges to reduce restaurant’s CO2 emis-sions by 36% by 2030 from 2015 as base year. In line with this, McDonald’s Japan has also started to consider various measures.CommentsElectricity, gas, and water consumption decreased in 2020 due to the temporary closure of seating areas and selected restaurants to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a result, the overall energy con-sumption decreased (-3.1% YoY in crude oil equivalent). However, due to a drop in the number of in-store customers, there was an increase in energy usage per customer register count (+5.2% YoY).
