In 2021, company-wide waste increased (+10.0% YoY) due to the increase in sales (+10.7% YoY). Food waste was 82.1kg per 1-million-yen sales, a moderate improve-ment from last year’s result of 82.3kg. Also, initiatives by our restaurants contributed to improving food recycle rate to 60.2%.Plastic waste volume has increased over the previous year, but we are planning to reduce the amount of single-use plastics.
