The products we serve to customers are managed by our own quality and food safety management system based on international standards, which are embedded from farm to processing plants, logistics, and food preparation at our restaurants.PACE, HACCP, and other sanitation management methods are adopted by our restaurants to manage product safety. We require our suppliers to comply with the Suppli-er Code of Conduct. This code of conduct contains fundamental principles for partnering with McDon-ald’s and stipulates relevant laws and regulations, human rights, work environment, environmental conservation, and business integrity. Details re-garding the code of conduct are specified in the “Supply Chain Human Rights Program (SCHR),” and suppliers are expected to implement and maintain this program. We hold a Supplier Summit every year to share our business and future growth plans with our suppliers. Goals, opportunities, and progress related to food safety, quality improvement, and others are shared to deepen mutual understanding and strengthen our partner-ship. The Japan Supplier Advisory Council (JSAC), in which suppliers take the lead in addressing challenges, also presents the outcomes of its initiatives.Farm assessmentWater quality controlPesticide, fertilizer management, occupational safety, labor managementetc.RestaurantMcDonald’s Sustainability Report 2025Supplier Summit25Food Quality & SourcingEnviron-mental Conserva-tionWork Envi-ronmentEnvironmentSupplier Code of ConductMcDonald’s additional quality standardsGFSI approval schemeGMP/HACCPRelevant laws, regulations and requirementsLogistics/WarehouseFood Manufacturing Process ManagementTraceabilityProcessingConfirm the effectiveness of the system through an audit programPACEGlobal G.A.P.Plus Add-onDQMPSQMSFundamental Principles for SuppliersFarm* SCHR includes 4 audit areas in line with the SMETA audit framework established by SEDEX: Labor, Safety and Hygiene, Environment, and Business Ethics.*¹FSSC22000 / BRC / IFS / SQF etc.QIP (Quality Inspection Program)Traceability SystemCrisis Control Product Inspection Program, etc.HACCP (restaurants)GMPSSOPThe food production process is managed by Mc-Donald’s Supplier Quality Management System (SQMS), a food safety management system in line with the Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI) founded by relevant laws and regulations including McDonald’s additional quality standards.
