In 2025, a special website was set up during the summer vacation period to provide an opportunity for families to learn about food.We want children to have an opportunity to think “What can I do?” for the planet and society, and with that in mind, we set up visitation classes in selected locations for upper elementary school students. To date, approximately 2,300 children* have taken the class. Our staff working at nearby restaurants introduce McDonald’s initiatives in environ-mental conservation, followed by a class presentation by students on “What we can do for the planet.”Hamburger University, McDonald’s talent development institution, also offers train-ing programs for educators. We believe that supporting teachers’ professional development through our lead-ership and communication programs contributes to the vitality of local communi-ties. Since launching training sessions for Tokyo Metropolitan Government em-ployees in 1999, we have continued to expand the program to other prefectures.Total number of attendees (graduates)*Figures reported as of the end of December 2025Jobs, Inclusion & EmpowermentOur PlanetDataIntroductionFood Quality & SourcingEducation Support3141,025restaurants56,318sessions3,000+
